Hong Kong hostages
Freitag, 27. August 2010 / 21:50

8 Chinese people have been killed -by an ex-police officer!

If I hear such news, I always get shocked.
How could somebody do such a thing?? Killing innocent people?Letting small children see how their parents or friends being shot? What kind of life did he have, what kind of family and friends to let a man become so cold hearted and brutal? I mean, deep inside, he should have known that he was doing a bad thing. Why didn't he stop? He should have known that he could never take up his job again, after the hostage. If he really wanted to be a police offficer again, he would have done it the honest way. He should have helped to find the truth and investigate on his previous commitments, not blackmail people to get his will.

And the other people should not think that all Filipinos are brutal and crazy, just because Mendoza was.
When I came here, everyone was kind to me, helped me out and trying to make me feel happy. I think that Filipinos are nice and open, comparing to people of other countries. With some exceptions, of course...

But this incident should not keep tourists away from the Philippines. They could help the country to develop itself instead of blaming the philippine policemen for the death of others. Of course I can understand how the Chinese feel about this, but they should ask themselves, what they would do in such a situation.`Would we have done it better? What could we do to prevent this from happening again?´
